Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge that the land that we gather and perform on is the traditional country and homelands of the Taribelang Bunda, Gooreng Gooreng, Gurang, and Bailai Peoples of the Bundaberg region. We acknowledge they have walked, cared for, sung, told stories and danced on this land for thousands of years. We acknowledge and respect their spiritual relationship, cultural heritage, beliefs and connection to this land, and it is still important to their descendants of today. We acknowledge the Elders, those here today and those who have passed back into the great dreaming.

Our 500th Production ...
Revue 500 is a celebration of Bundaberg Players Incorporated’s 500th stage production. The Bundaberg Amateur Players (later renamed BPI) was founded in 1950, and performed our first production, ‘Miss Hook of Holland’, in 1951 at Bundaberg’s old Wintergarden Theatre. 74 years and 500 productions later, BPI is one of the oldest regional theatre companies in Queensland, presenting an average of seven unparalleled high-quality productions each year. Join us to celebrate some of the amazing shows that led us to this incredible milestone.

Caution: Contains Strong Language and Adult Themes It’s Toby Ackland’s 18th birthday party down at the beach – that should mean heaps of drinking, drugs and good clean fun. But by the morning a 14-year-old girl is found dead in the sand – raped by three boys and bashed with a rock. Who is responsible? The boy? The girl? Or the whole town? Blackrock is an intimate and strongly shaped Australian drama which examines community, class and the social forces behind the impulse to violence in individual lives. Blackrock is based on the real-world sexual assault and murder of 14-year-old Leigh Leigh in 1989.
