Heather Shailer as "Pierrot"

The Enchanted Christmas (1992) is one of the Christmas pantomimes performed at the Playhouse Theatre over the years.

This production, penned by Judy and Nigel, was set in Australia with magical forays into Londinium, the Fairytale Frontier and Santa’s workshop.

Jacqui Kelly played the Australian girl who dreams of a White Christmas with Annette Rasmussen as her mother. With her magical doll Pierrot (Heather Shailer) she gets her wish, meeting up with wicked Jack Frost (David Beynon) and Simple Simon (Jason Sharland) among numerous colourful characters.

Other cast included our late great comedy performer Frances Schmeider as the Gumnut Fairy Godmother with Graham Lister and Pat Palu as Santa and Mrs Claus. Graham's superb talents as a Dame shone through as he also appeared as Lady Mayoress of Londinium with Narelle Pennells as The Mayor. It was so well received Judy and Nigel teamed up with Jason Sharland and Nigel Beyer the Musical Director and score composer to write a sequel, The Heart Of Christmas presented the following year with several players reprising their roles.
