Isabella Stokes

Isobella Stokes as Meg Bacon

‘Secret Bridesmaids’ Business’ is Isabella's first major role with Bundaberg Players. She has been a member for 2 years and has previously been in the ensemble for musicals and in the BURPs late last year. A fan of musicals, Isabella is looking forward to branching out into the world of plays. She is excited to bring you on the journey with Meg as she prepares for the wedding of her dreams…. or nightmares. When not at the theatre Isabella is a mum of twin boys, a wife and a nurse. She enjoys craft and sport.

Tricia Garson

Tricia Garson as Colleen Bacon

Tricia joined BPI in April 1997, when she moved to Bundaberg, with her husband. Not really knowing anyone in town and having been involved with other amateur theatre groups before, she went along to an audition to make friends…and the rest, as they say, is history! Since then, she has performed in over 20 productions – comedy, drama, panto & musicals, as well as directing, co-directing, being on the committee, and being the Playhouse newsletter editor from 1998-2008. Tricia loves acting but is also happy to help with painting & construction of sets, ushering or helping serve tea & coffee at intermission.

  Di Wills

Di Wills as Angela

Being a Playhouse member for over two decades, Di has a long list of productions to her name behind the scenes as Director and Stage Manager; and her on-stage appearances have been very diverse including ‘Not Now Darling’, ‘Three Musketeers’, ‘A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum’, ‘Romeo and Juliet’, ‘I Want To Be In A Jane Austen Novel’ and ‘Vagina Monologues’ to name a few. Having played the Housemaid in the 2003 season of ‘Secret Bridesmaids’ Business’, Di is delighted to bring the role of Matron of Honour and best-friend, Angela, to life this time around. As Di says- 'There's a little bit of Angela in all of us.

  Sara Whyte

Sara Whyte as Lucy

Sara became a member of Bundaberg Players Incorporated in 2014. This will be her 8th show with us and she has performed in a variety of different types of shows. Sara loves musicals and 'Phantom of the Opera' is extra special as it was her first production with us. Her favourite roles are Pippa in 'Hotel Sorrento' and She in 'The Loveliest Afternoon of the Year'. Sara is excited to play Lucy who gets labelled as a troublemaker but is just trying to be a good friend.

  Marianne Curran

Marianne Curran as Angela

Marianne has been a member of the Playhouse Theatre since 2017. ‘Secret Bridesmaids’ Business’ will be her eighth show, having previously performed in musicals and a variety of plays. Being a fan of musicals, she particularly loved being a part of the chorus for ‘Wicked’, her first production with the Playhouse. Her most memorable role was as Lauren Bell in a ‘Bunch of Amateurs’. Marianne is looking forward to bringing the character of Naomi to life as she tries to make amends for her previous bad decisions.

  Tim Heffernan

Tim Heffernan as James

Tim has been a member of Bundaberg Players Incorporated since the end of 2019. ‘Secret Bridesmaids’ Business’ is his second play with BPI, having played Lysander in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in December last year. He is a big fan of musicals and played a cranky German banker in ‘Mary Poppins’. Most recently, Tim was a cast member of ‘MAMMA MIA!’. Tim is looking forward to the new challenge of portraying the character of James in ‘Secret Bridesmaids’ Business’.

  Isa Stavast

Isa Stavast as Housemaid

Isa has been with the performing arts studio Drama Queens for 4 years and it brings her the greatest joy. You may have also seen her in Bundaberg Players’ BURP live streaming performances during COVID, playing a variety of parts, and singing as part of the Corona Choir. ‘Secret Bridesmaids’ Business’ is her very first full-length Playhouse Theatre production and she’s super excited to get involved in some more!

  Peg Gellert

Peg Gellert - Director

Peg Gellert relocated to Bargara fresh from the Darwin theatre scene. Over the years, as an actress she has featured in many comedies and dramas, sung solo in cabarets and had both major and minor roles in musicals. Peg’s other contributions to theatre have involved direction, stage-management, operating lights, arranging publicity, committee work, running the bar, and she has even been known to do a bit of tap dancing (although none of these things simultaneously). She is thrilled to be given this opportunity to direct this delightful play for Bundaberg Players.
